February/March 2020 FOMI Report
It seems like our lives and situations are changing everyday. We seem to be living in uncertain times BUT one thing I know for sure is Our God Reigns, He is still on His throne, and still in control. This COVID-19 has not taken Him by surprise. He is still at work even when you can’t see Him at work.
February 2020 was a great month for ministry. We began the month with our Softball Prison Trip to Florida where we were able to go into 2 prisons. We played lots of softball, prayed with inmates, and shared with them the hope that is found in a personal relationship with Christ. As a result, 20 inmates prayed to receive Jesus Christ.
Then on Feb. 21-25, Craig Connatser and I took an exploratory trip to Honduras to visit with Brent and Anne Ozane to learn more about their ministry Wellspring of Life. They have a K-11th grade school and are developing a 275 acre ranch to help meet needs in the area. I am so excited about beginning a partnership with them as we seek to take families to be a part of what God is doing in Honduras. Please be in prayer as we seek God’s guidance in when we will be able to proceed in this partnership.
Just before things began to slow with more uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19, we were able to take a group of 16 from Faith Promise Church in Knoxville to Williamsburg, KY to serve with Steve and Susan Jett as they minister to families in that area. We were able to assist a family by putting insulation in their home and work with Cedaridge Ministries that helps to meet the physical and spiritual needs of people in the Appalachian region. This was a great trip and we look forward to many more opportunities to go back to minister in this area.
As things have slowed down in the world at this moment, God is still at work preparing opportunities for us to hopefully go this summer to spread faith, hope and the love of Jesus Christ around the world. Keep watching for updates as we are able to make plans.
Thank you Son for this update. You are right God is in control and He is teaching each of us what He wants us to learn. Praise Him we live by faith and not by sight. Love and prayers. mom
